The Bitcoin Flavor

High Tech Natural Products from the Forest have High Aggregate Value

How does bitcoin taste?

I’m a biotech scientist and a bitcoin enthusiast. For quite some time now I’ve been wanting to get more involved in the bitcoin movement in other ways that are not hodling but how could a biotech scientist contribute to it?

After listening to Mike’s interview in the Pomp Podcast and learning more about the bitcoin beach project, I realized that I could help that community create a high-tech bioprospection project and foster the creation of high-aggregate value products from the El Salvador biodiversity funded only through bitcoin.

Over the last 7 years, I’ve been involved, mostly through Bio Bureau, in bioprospection projects in Brazil that allowed me to create the largest bank of genes from Atlantic Forest plants together with Reservas Votorantim, and talking to the largest flavor and fragrance, cosmetics and pharma companies operating in Brazil to develop products from the Brazilian biodiversity.

With a enthusiast bitcoin community all over the world, we could raise the funds for a cosmetic discovery project in El Salvador through crowdfunding, similar to what we did, when I lead the team that run the first successful scientific crowdfunding campaign in Brazil, to sequence the DNA of the invasive Golden Mussel, publishing the genome paper in 2017.

I already did some search of the scientific literature on El Salvador’s biodiversity but I still have to learn more about the scientific community and infrastructure there. Suggestions?

Biodiversity as a source of high aggregate value cosmetic and pharma products

Not far away from El Salvador, Costa Rica is an example on how biodiversity conservation can increase quality of life and GDP.

Can you imagine… a Bitcoin flavor or fragrance coming out of the El Salvador forests?! That project is too cool not to be executed.

I hope I can get some El Salvadorians and some bitcoiners to help me execute it. I’ll start contacting Bitcoin Beach guys.
